Kaisercraft Design Team Call

okay, so it is that time of the year when every one of our favourite brands gives the call for a new design team. and while many of us don't ever enter, maybe this time you should! wouldn't it be a great experience for you to play with all the goodies (even before the shops get the products) and create, create, create.......

now back to kaisercraft and their design team. why kaisercraft over someone else? well, because kaisercraft has to be one of my absolute favourite lines. and you also think so because it usually flies out of the shop! the double sided papers are obviously acid and lignin free and nice sturdy paper to do off the page projects with.

so go for it, good luck to all of you!

Quick Mini Christmas Album

Have you already downloaded your Christmas photos, sorted through them and printed them out? If your like me, that usually gets done towards Easter! But since 2010 is my year for getting organised, and TIME is my new buzz word, i've been proactive this year.

I created this mini Christmas Album for my sister-in-law to remind her of her holiday at home (she lives in the UK with her fiance). It was our little Morgan's first Christmas, and we all enjoyed watching her with the paper and presents!

Take rectangle chipboard pieces for your pages. I used 5 12cmx8cm chipboard, including cover and back. Since you need to cover 10 sizes, select either 5 double pages (you get 2 pages covered from 1 sheet) or 10 single pages. Choose Christmas paper, with greens and reds if you are going for the traditional Christmas theme.

Firstly I covered each chipboard sheet. I put the double sided tape (medium or thick tape) onto the chipboard and then put the paper onto the chipboard. It is easier to then cut the paper from the chipboard with your craft knife.

I then chose my pictures to fit each page. It is a good idea to have some jumbos, 2 ups, 4 ups as well as 6 ups for this project. I like to pick and chose and love to have a variety of printed photos to play around with.

After embellishing each page, do some journalling (i put the menu onto one of the tags) as well as some colour coded ribbons on the rings.

Enjoy this quick and easy project. It is a perfect gift, or a reminder of hopefully a wonderful Christmas.

Welcome 2010

Happy New Year to all bloggers! May this be a year of prosperity, peace, family and abundant blessings.

We are so excited about the New Year and have so many new, exciting, creative things that we are conjuring up for you all. Watch this space, our blog will soon be full!

If you are following the Ali Edwards blog have you decided on your word yet? If you haven't followed her blog, she challenges everyone to have a word that you want to focus on and be inspired by. A word that will represent what you want from the new year, what will 2010 be for you?

My word is TIME. Time for God, better time management, time with my family, quality time with my baby, time to scrap and time for me. Everyday you think about your word and with that thinking also needs to come action - in order to fulfill your desire for the new challenges and new doors that open this new year for you.

Think about your year ahead, and the word that will inspire you. Let us know what your word is and we will be back soon with some mini albums and fantastic layouts.

God bless
