latest echo park

after a wonderful session with Tim Holtz last weekend i felt inspired to use the new Ranger's perfect pearls today. i used sketch 233 from pencilline sketches. i used the latest echo park range with black bazzil and awesome flocked alphas which we unpacked today. i wasn't sure i would ever use these pics as they are 'every day' pics, which aren't great but completely depict Morgan's little quirks! the colours in the pictures so nicely matched with the Echo Park range, 'be mine'. i used the journal card, script polka dot and love letters papers.

i sprayed the black bazzil with perfect pearls - inference red under the title area and bottom left hand corner where there was a blank space. remember when spraying your perfect pearls you must stand at a distance and spray as a mist, rather add later as you can't take away if you spray too much.

the patterned papers were heavily distressed with my heidi swapp distresser and the photos were sanded. 2 of my favourite techniques at the moment are distressing and sanding, a girl can't live without those guys!

journaling tags above the photo and bottom right on the page capture the date and story of her little quirks.

pop on over to pencil lines and give the sketch a go

happy scrappin'

need a title

i do many layouts, without titles and have many ideas of title i'd like to do - but my biggest problem is putting the title on the page. and why is that, why don't i find the title i'm looking for?

well, i think it is mostly to do with not having the right colour or 'feel' of the stickers to go with my layout. i know in my mind what i would like - but can't always find it. but now i have the cricut machine and i am sure i'll be putting those layouts onto many a unfinished pages!

but this page is different, this layout is about the picture and i just love the look Morgan is giving me here. what i don't know is what to call it!

i heavily distressed the edges of the bazzil paper. used prima flower packaging to frame my picture and made a tag to go behind the photo where i have written a note to her, tellling her how much i love her.

the flowers and bling are all from prima. i don't always leave so much space on my layouts and its quite a differnt look for me - must say its a look i like!

any ideas for a title??
